Visas and formalities
Visa-free regime:
Citizens of more than 90 countries (including Europe and the CIS) can enter without a visa.
For other countries, an e‑visa can be obtained within 1–3 days via the website e‑visa.gov.uz.
Required documents:
Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation)
Return flight ticket

Transport and getting around
- Intercity travel:
- High-speed Afrosiab trains (Tashkent – Samarkand – Bukhara)

Domestic flights (Tashkent – Urgench / Nukus) - In the cities:
Taxis, car-sharing, metro (in Tashkent), car rental with a driver.
In Uzbekistan, the following rules apply for bringing in and taking out cash:
• Import (bringing cash into Uzbekistan): There is no limit on the amount of foreign currency that can be brought into the country.
• Export (taking cash out of Uzbekistan): Individuals are allowed to take out up to the equivalent of 100,000,000 Uzbek soums (please check exchange rate on your date of travel) without declaration.
• If the amount exceeds this limit, it must be declared to customs authorities.
Insurance and safety
- It is recommended to obtain travel medical insurance before arrival.
- Uzbekistan is a safe country to travel to, with friendly and welcoming people.
- The crime rate is low, especially in tourist areas.

Do I need a visa to Uzbekistan?
For most CIS and European countries — no visa is required. Others can apply for an electronic e‑visa.
Can I pay for the tour by card?
Yes, international Visa and MasterCard cards are accepted. Online payment through the Atmos system is also available.
Can I travel independently?
Yes, but for intensive itineraries and complex logistics, it’s better to use the services of a DMC operator.
Is there Wi-Fi and mobile connection?
In cities — everywhere. In remote areas — partially, but SIM cards can be purchased at the airport.
